West Belida PSC

In June 2010, RH Petrogas acquired Singapore-based RH Petrogas Singapore Pte Ltd (formerly known as Orchard Energy Pte Ltd), which operates a PSC with 94% working interest in West Belida Block, Jambi, South Sumatra, Indonesia.

The West Belida Block is located onshore South Sumatra adjacent to a number of oil and gas discoveries in the prolific South Sumatra Basin. The block area is 1,402 sq km and is highly prospective.

Since the award of the PSC in 2009, the Group has conducted surface geochemical survey and analysis to further define and upgrade exploration leads and prospects in the block. This is followed by the acquisition and processing of 240 km of 2D seismic over the block in 2011. Exploration efforts continued during 2012 with drilling of Gitar-1 well. The well was spudded on September 26th and reached total depth of 4,000 feet on 21 October 2012. Gitar-1 encountered 800 feet gross column of hydrocarbon shows in the Gumai formation during drilling. The Group is encouraged that an active hydrocarbon system is present in the block based on the shows. Currently, a postmortem analysis is being carried out and, together with reprocessing of seismic data, the Group continues to seek additional drilling opportunities in the block in 2014.
