Internal Auditor

Job Description

As the Group's Internal Auditor, you will be required to perform risk assessment, evaluate and develop internal controls over financial reporting, compliance and business operations. You will be expected to lead the Group's internal audits in accordance with annual audit objectives, and communicate audit findings to audit committee members and senior management on a regular basis.

Reporting to the Group's Audit Committee Chairman, your main responsibilities are:

  • Undertaking internal audits for the Group to ensure the company and its subsidiaries meets its financial, operational and compliance objectives
  • Plan and execute risk-based audits on the Group's business activities, including reviewing the effectiveness of internal controls and compliance to policies and procedures
  • Identifying weakness in control activities and making practical and value-added recommendations on internal control and business processes to mitigate overall exposure to business risks
  • Draft audit reports to clearly communicate risks and core audit issues
  • Follow-up on implementation of audit recommendations
  • May be required to assist with special reviews and investigations

Reporting to the Group's Audit Committee Chairman, your main responsibilities are:

  • Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields should be included as a qualification requirement for internal auditing:
    • Accountancy, Economics, Finance and/or Business and in-depth knowledge of Corporate Audit
  • Chartered Accountant or Certified Internal Auditor will be an added advantage
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience
  • Good knowledge of internal controls, risk management, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, internal audit standards and accounting principles
  • Able to travel overseas for work
  • Bilingual – ability to converse, read and write in Mandarin with internal counterparts based in China.
  • Ability to assess and evaluate risk, plus implement solutions
  • Excellent reporting skills, with a strong communication skills in both verbal and written
  • Ability to think objectively, meticulous attention to details and with strong analytical skills
